This workshop will unpack the screen actor’s craft. You will explore the basic techniques of working on camera and learn effective ways of getting to emotional truth in order to get the best take. Comedian and actor Jonny Brugh is best know as Deacon The Vampire from kiwi cult film What We Do In Shadows and as Monty McNamara on Australian comedy drama 800 Words.
In 25 years Jonny has stuffed numerous awards under his belt since his ‘heady’ early days in innovative absurdist comic duet Sugar & Spice and now currently with his darkly comic duet Flashdunce, creators of internationally acclaimed live show My Brother And I Are Pornstars and multi-award winning short film The Gondola.
Jonny has worked with many comedy masters including Jemaine Clement and Duncan Sarkies on podcast Uncle Bertie’s Botanarium, Mike Minogue on sketch comedy web series True Stories From The Water Cooler, and with crack Australian comedians Soul Mates.
