Tim van Dammen is a writer, producer and director from Auckland NZ. His first feature film, Romeo and Juliet: A Love Song, which launched at the 2013 NZ film festival, combined Shakespeare, song and trailer trash. It was released throughout NZ cinemas and on DVD by Rialto.
His second feature, Mega Time Squad, an oddball time-travel comedy set in Thames NZ, is being released through Madman in NZ and Aus and sold through MPI Media internationally.
In 2016 he was selected for the FilmUp Programme run by Script-to-Screen here in NZ. Through that he developed a script under the mentorship of Andrew Adamson and Duncan Sarkies titled Under the Rainbow .In 2017 he was awarded a Seed Grant from the NZ Writer's guild for a script titled One Man's Peace.
He has also Produced and Directed 180+ music videos for top NZ and International acts. He was nominated for the best director VMA Tui in 2009 for my video for Sola Rosa - Turn Around and won the VMA Tui in 2010 for my video for Kids of 88 - Just a Little Bit.
He was also the drummer for Collapsing Cities.
